    Description

RARE Vintage Enco Japan Beer Stein Mug Cup Little America Wyoming 3D Ceramic 7". This vintage stein is a super super tough one to come by nowadays! On one side is the Grand Tetons, and on the other side is Emperor the Penguin. It measures just a fraction under 7 inches tall with a 3.75 inch diameter across the bottom and a 2.75 inch diameter across the top.
Little America —well-known to I-80 travelers as The World’s Largest Gas Station ——as named after Admiral Byrd’s camp on the South Pole. Opened in 1932 by S.M. Covey, the refueling stop along the Lincoln Highway grew to include scores of gas pumps, a hotel, restaurants and a post office.
The owners wanted Emperor the penguin to be its live mascot, but the penguin died on its way from Antarctica to Boston. Wanting to make the best of a bad deal, Little America had Emperor stuffed and shipped anyway.
The stein is in very solid shape and comes from a smoke free home. 12 detailed pictures provided. Thanks for looking!
