    Description

This is an original menu from Holman's Sunny Brook Restaurant in Corvallis, Oregon.  On the back it lists the owners as Miriam & Lenn Holman.  It also has a note "Antiques by Mrs. Vane G. Gibson."  I don't know if that means that she provided antiques to decorate the restaurant or if she sold antiques in or near the restaurant.  At any rate there is an "O.P.S. ceiling price regulation notice" at the top of the menu which dates it to World War Two, I believe.  At the time a huge Dagwood Burger sold for thirty cents and a Filet Mignon dinner was .95.  Only 3 items on the menu are over a dollar!  The menu is cardboard and has some wear at the edges.  There is about a 1" tear at the bottom of the fold and there are rust marks from paperclips that must have originally held specials sheets.  Folded the menu is 9 & 3/4" by 8".
